16 Ag One Kern County and Friends Luncheon

Guests will enjoy a BBQ lunch at Buttonwillow Land and Cattle Company (19400 Wildwood Road, Buttonwillow) northwest of Bakersfield, and can visit with fellow alumni, friends, faculty and staff of the Jordan College.  Proceeds form the 46th annual event benefits students and programs in the Jordan College.  More event info.

17 Gibson Farm Market Wine Tasting

Sample four, student-produced wines from the award-winning Fresno State Winery, including its “wine of the month” Pinot Noir. The free event from 2 to 4 p.m. is open to those 21 years or older, and follow the winery's Instagram page.

18 Jordan College Open House

Bring your family to O'Neill Park between 9 a.m. - noon, and learn from Fresno State agricultural students, clubs, academic departments, research centers and 1,000-acre campus farm. Enjoy giveaways, kids activities, demonstrations and food samples, winery and farm tours (everything is free!). More information.

18 Gibson Farm Market Fall Festival Enjoy free samples of student-made products from the campus farm, a pumpkin patch, wine tasting (21 and over), take part in kid-friendly activities, and more from Noon to 3 p.m.! Learn more about the event and follow the market at its Instagram page.
18 Fall Plant Sale Between 8 a.m. and Noon at the Gibson Farm Market, enjoy a huge selection of houseplants, fall vegetables, herbs, and shrubs grown by Fresno State students at the semi-annual sale that offers great prices and is organized by the campus horticulture nursery
18 Water-Wise Plant Exchange Bring and trade water-wise plants and cuttings to the campus nursery (3150 E. Barstow Ave.) from 8 a.m. to Noon, and get expert advice from campus horticulture staff and students and City of Fresno Water Conservation Program experts.
22 Enology Society Wine Tasting

Learn about wine properties and production methods at the student organization's meeting and wine tasting from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the campus winery classroom. Cost is $10 for Fresno State students and $15 for the general public.

23 Fresno State Top Dog Awards Alumni and agricultural supporters Gary and Marlene Peacock and Lloyd, Ralph and Fred Fagundes (Fagundes Brothers Dairy) are among 14 honorees that will be honored from across campus for their professional accomplishments and dedication to the community and campus at the annual event organized by the Fresno State Alumni Association.
24 Ag One Annual Turf Day Classic Alumni and ag supporters will play golf at Belmont Country Club (Fresno) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in a fundraiser to support Jordan College students and programs. For registration and sponsorship opportunities for the 54th annual event, visit the event website. 
24 California Water Institute 25th Anniversary Reception

Help campus staff, faculty and students celebrate the California Water Institute and its quarter-century of efforts to bring together diverse stakeholders through innovation, education and collaboration efforts to advance solutions to California’s most pressing water challenges. RSVP for free event from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Jordan Agricultural Research Center

24 Wine Club Fall Release Wine Tasting Party The public is invited to join Fresno State Wine Club members for their fall release party and some of the favorite wines blended by campus viticulture and enology students who work at the nation's largest and oldest campus winery at Fresno State. The event at the winery from 5 to 8 p.m. and is free to the public.

31 CIT Ag Tech Day From 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m at several locations at or near the campus Center for Irrigation Technology, see the latest innovations in ag technology at live field demonstrations, educational presentations and local business expo. Sign up for the free at the event website.

1 Whole Vine Festival Learn about the nation's leading grape, raisin and wine industries at the free, family-friendly event on the Science II Building lawn (near the corner of Barstow and Woodrow / O'Neill Park). Enjoy wine tasting, educational booths, food trucks, music, art and kids activities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Event information.
6 Ag One West Side and Friends Luncheon Join alumni and agricultural supporters for the eighth annual BBQ lunch from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and visit with Jordan College faculty and staff at the Fresno Equipment Company in Five Points.  Event proceeds benefit students and programs in the Jordan College. Bulldoggers Collegiate Home Rodeo

Cheer on Fresno State's rodeo team at its lone event of the collegiate season against the West Coast Region's top athletes at the Clovis Rodeo Grounds (748 Rodeo Drive, Clovis). The free, slack morning starts at 8 a.m., and the ticketed evening session starts at 6 p.m. Tickets and event information.

AI Conversation: Applications in Dairy Products Production

Dr. Paulina Freire Vásconez is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at Fresno State, working on dairy products, focusing on machine learning, sensory analysis, and rapid detection methods.

Malcolm Media Tree and Vine Expo (Turlock)

Join nearly 1,000 grape, nut and tree fruit growers and PCA's at this annual event at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds. Presentations and seminars will cover pesticide regulatory changes, whole orchard recycling, AI vineyard management, pomegranate irrigation requirements, tree and vine disease management, vine and rootstock pairing, navel orangeworm and vine mealybug IPM, on-farm wildlife management, and new and upcoming ag legislation. Also take advantage of PCA and CCA credits, free breakfast and tri-tip lunch, and an industry trade show. More information.

Malcolm Media Tree and Vine Expo (Fresno)

Hear industry presentations and seminars from  7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Big Fresno Fairgrounds about raisin, table grape, wine, almond, walnut, pistachio, pecan, citrus and fruit tree topics. The expo at the Big Fresno Fairgrounds will feature PCA and CCA credits, free breakfast tri-tip lunch, and an industry trade show. More information.

Viticulture Club Annual Fall Harvest BBQ Fundraiser

44th Annual Agribusiness Management Conference

Hear economic overview and policy analysis tied to the nation's leading agricultural area (and its national and international ties) from experts and stakeholders from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pardini’s Catering and Banquets in Fresno. More information
