Welcome to the Department of Industrial Technology!

 The Bee Sweet Citrus packing line is the first on a college campus and teaches students how to manage modern automated produce handling systems.

Dr. Balaji Seth oversees the ag systems management option that integrates GPS, remote sensing, robotics & info system technology.

The robotics club is the department's newest student organization and competes in national ATMAE, ASABE & agBOT competitions.

Faculty member Don Austin has extensive experience educating students about all types of precision manufacturing equipment.

Student enrollment has doubled in the past 10 years with the department's emphasis on automation, computers, mechanical systems, and management careers.

Dr. Nitagour Mahalik offers students expertise in distributed control systems, processing and packaging, electronics, and signal processing.

Students present their research and network with regional industry members at the annual ASABE / World Ag Expo conference.

Students benefit from Dr. Arun Nambiar's prior research in production planning, scheduling, and mass customization.

Students visit area industry locations to learn about the latest production methods and system management careers.

Dr. Daming Zhang specializes in teaching modern automotive development, power train technologies, and quality management courses.

The $24 million Jordan Agricultural Research Center features a robotics lab that showcases equipment and technology used for smart farm and precision agriculture.
