California 100 Presents: Scenarios for CA's Agriculture Future |
The public event will highlight transformative ideas, people and projects The new statewide initiative is committed to inspiring a vision and strategy for innovation, sustainability and equity by encouraging new policies, attitudes and mindsets. The roundtable will include remarks from Fresno State President Dr. Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval and Karen Ross, Secretary of the California Department of Food & Agriculture, and other leaders tied to the organization and industry. This event is open to students, faculty and staff to celebrate the new school year. This will also be a great opportunity for students to network with industry professionals. There will be a career and internship fair so come prepared with your resumes and dress business casual. There will also be a student club and organization fair. The event will be held at O'Neill Park, and students do not need to register to participate. |

FIRA International Ag Robotics Conference |
FIRA USA 2022 will bring together specialty crop growers, robot manufacturers, industrials, academics, technologists, startups and investors for three days of problem-solving, decision making and planning. Agricultural Applications for the PG&E Tool Lending Library |
PG&E’s Tool Lending Library has many tools to aid farmers and consultants with analyzing data on the farm. This free service allows anyone within California to borrow tools (such as ultrasonic flowmeters, power loggers, and more) with a focus on gaining a better understanding of their irrigation systems and how the tools can help them achieve greater water and energy efficiency. Enjoy a casual, weekly wine tasting with friends at the Fresno State Winery this fall and sample some of our favorite red, wine and rosé wines on our patio (on the east side of the winery tank room). Enjoy this great way to start your weekend and meet our students as they prepare to become the 'Winemakers of Tomorrow'. Alumni, friends, and the community are invited to gather at Kings River Winery in Sanger, CA for the Viticulture Club's 69th annual fundraiser. Join the oldest club on the Fresno State campus for a night filled with dinner, silent and live auctions, and music. Funds raised support student attendance at professional grape and wine industry meetings, student scholarships, and visits to grape growing regions to meet with alumni and grape and wine industry leaders. If unable to attend, donations to the Viticulture Club are also appreciated.
