He teaches introduction to horticulture classes and is one of the area's most knowledgeable in the field. Served as chairman of the California Certified Nursery Certification Professional Board. Was former Dept. Chair of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Reedley College. Served as President of the State Center Community College District Board of Trustees and Council Member of the City of Reedley. He was also was former owner of full-service retail garden center and registered landscape contractor.
