Brief Introductory Statement:
Cynthia Wood was the Program Specialist-Outreach and Event Coordinator for the viticulture
and enology program, responsible for developing and coordinating educational, outreach,
and fundraising events for the viticulture and enology program. These activities are
designed to disseminate information to the grape and wine industry, introduce new
and transfer students, and attract potential industry professionals to the viticulture
and enology programs and services offered by this institution.
Cynthia holds a B.A. in liberal studies from California State University, Fresno.
She served the viticulture and enology program at this institution since 1981 and
was the recipient of the Jordan College of Ag's Distinguished Service Award in 2016-2017
for her exceptional service and commitment to the college. Other awards include the
2017 Madera Vintners Association's Honorable Partner Award, and the 2017 Viticulture
Club's Service Award for her outstanding contributions and support to their club.
