AgBond - How to get involved
Building Opportunities through Networking of Discovery (AgBOND) for ag students provides them with hands-on research experiences, mentorship and leadership opportunities, plus a network of career professionals ready to help in every step of the way. In addition, students have the opportunity to identify possible careers and aspirations through internship experience with USDA like Food and Nutrition Service, Natural Resource and Soil Conservation, Farm Service Agency and many more!
To join AgBOND students will enroll in classes that will help them continue to build expertise and their identity in Food, Agriculture, Natural Resources, and/or Human Sciences. Students will explore more research, internships, and other co-curricular opportunities.
Once students are enrolled, they will have the opportunity to engage in project-based learning, research, and mentorship centered on authentic, locally relevant, and globally significant urban-agricultural-climate type of problems. This high-impact transformative educational experience will prepare students to serve and to lead in the San Joaquin Valley, California, and beyond.
Students will take their hard work and experience and land an internship in a USDA-specific career. Paid internships are available with a number of USDA Agencies. Students will wrap up their final year with the ultimate hands-on experiences and feel prepared to graduate and start their career.
