B.S. Undergraduate Program
The Plant Science Bachelor of Science degree is designed to provide graduates with an academic background deeply rooted in field-based experiences in a broad array of disciplines.
The degree's broad range of courses includes topics related to agronomy, conventional and organic crop production, chemical applications, entomology and bee health/biology, integrated pest management, orchard management, ornamental horticulture, plant physiology, pathology, propagation, range ecology, soil-water relations, and weed management.
The department also includes an agricultural mechanics program with classes and labs related to agricultural equipment and machinery, electronics, small gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, metallurgy, and power safety.
