Dr. Yu joined the Department of Viticulture and Enology faculty in the fall of 2021 as an Assistant Professor of Viticulture. Prior to this appointment at Fresno State, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Oakville Station at the Department of Viticulture and Enology, UC Davis.

His primary research focuses include berry/wine flavonoid composition as affected by abiotic stress, vineyard cultural practices, vineyard mechanization, and precision viticulture.
