Natalie Baumgartner

Natalie Baumgartner is a full-time lecturer in the Department of Animal Sciences and Agricultural Education at Fresno State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Education, specializing in Agricultural Education, from Oregon State University in 2024. Natalie's research primarily focuses on school-based agricultural education, with particular attention to the experiences of teachers working with English language learners. Her work includes investigating the narratives of SBAE teachers to understand their interactions and experiences with these students.

With over a decade of experience in SBAE, Natalie has recently served as a graduate teaching assistant and supervisor of teaching candidates at Oregon State University. Additionally, she spent seven years as a high school SBAE teacher in California, contributing extensive hands-on experience to her academic background.

As an alumni of Fresno State University who also completed her teaching credentials here, Natalie is thrilled to return to her alma mater. She looks forward to continuing her passion for teaching and continuing to support her students at the university she calls home.
