Dr. Todd Lone is a native of eastern South Dakota where he spent the early years of
his life surrounded by grain farms. He received his B.S. in Agricultural Economics
(1983) and M.S. in Economics (1985) from South Dakota State University. He received
his Ph.D. in Agricultural (Applied) Economics from Washington State University. His
teaching interests include finance, marketing, and management, while research interests
focus on consumer behavior with respect to food choices, producer input management
decision making and producer risk management strategies. Dr. Lone’s private sector
experience focused on market research, where he was tasked with project development,
survey design, data collection and analysis, and report preparation. He began working
at Fresno State in August 2008, after spending 13 years at California State University,
Chico.
