The Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology

Jordan College Open House

Saturday, October 18, 2025
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
O'Neill Park at Fresno State (2611 E Barstow Ave, Fresno, corner of Woodrow/Barstow Avenues)

As the kick-off to our campus Food, Family and Farm Month, the public is invited to our Open House to see how Fresno State is shaping the nation's leading agricultural area with free, family-friendly activities, campus farm and winery tours and demonstrations, and lots of prizes and giveaways.

Sample free, student-made ice cream, raisins, flavored almonds, and other farm products.

Kids and families can see farm equipment up close and can learn more about agriculture through crafts, games and other educational activities.

Students, faculty and staff will help kids learn about agriculture with fun activities and demonstrations.

Those interested in science can learn about student research shaping the future in our nearby Jordan Agricultural Research Center (which includes a tour of the only building of its kind in the nation).

All ages are welcome, and more information is available from Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology event coordinator Luz Mendoza (luzmendoza@csufresno.edu).

The same day, also stop by the nearby Fall Plant Sale (8am-noon) and Fall Festival (noon - 3pm) at the Gibson Farm Market (5368 N. Chestnut Ave.) on the Fresno State campus (and parking is free that day).
