Ag Tech Day showcases latest technology
The Fresno State Center for Irrigation Technology welcomed over 100 agricultural industry members, students, staff, faculty and supporters to its seventh annual Ag Tech Day demonstration event on Friday, October 27.
Three demonstration sites on the 1,000-acre hands-on demonstrations featured industry experts and researchers from Fresno State, UC Davis and the campus Advanced Pumping Efficiency Program tied to:
- Pump efficiency testing (Krohne)
- Groundwater recharge and precision irrigation management (Swan, Cordie Qualle)
- Soil moisture measurement (Irrometer, Dr. Malikka Nocco)
A vendor expo and lunch hosted at the campus Water, Energy, Technology Center was equally well attended and featured over 30 ag technology vendors showcasing new innovations and technology (many of which were tied to CIT and the campus Valley Ventures program) and featured:
