2023 Top Dog Award Recipient Spotlights
With a legacy of more than 383 Honorees since 1953, the annual Top Dog Awards event is a proud Fresno State tradition.
This event honors alumni and friends who embrace the Bulldog spirit through dedication to their field and practice commitment to the community (press release). Below are two features of recent honorees with special ties to the Jordan College and agriculture.

Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology
The professor emeritus of animal science, Iowa State University. is a Sri Lankan American known as one of the strongest theoreticians in the world in quantitative genetics. His efforts have focused primarily on theory and methods for use of genetic markers in breeding, and for genetic evaluations of crossbred animals. Rohan's scientific contributions have been presented in hundreds of peer-reviewed publications, invited talks, seminars and courses in more than 16 countries.

College of Science and Mathematics / Former Ag One Board Member
With a 30-year career in agriculture, the Terranova Ranch vice president is a leader in the agricultural community and innovator in farming methods and solutions. He is credited with designing a water bank solution that was adopted by the state as part of its larger plan to create a more dependable water supply.
