Ramos receives Sigma Alpha Advocate Award
(March 3, 2015) – Sigma Alpha sorority honored Fresno State staffperson Teresa Ramos
with its Agriculture Advocate Award at its recent leadership seminar in Reno, Nevada.
A fourth-year advisor for the sorority, Ramos is in her 31st year with the university
and currently serves as an assistant to Associate Dean of the Jordan College of Agricultural
Sciences and Technology Dr. Kathie Reid-Bevington.
The honor recognizes sorority alumni and advisors that make outstanding contributions
to Sigma Alpha’s objective to promote members in all facets of agriculture and strengthen
their bonds of friendship. Ramos has played a key role in helping the sorority's members
strive for achievement in scholarship, leadership and service while pursuing agricultural
careers.

Last year, Ramos was honored with a third-place National Advisor of the Year Award
by the sorority.
