Plant Science students honored at conference
(February 6, 2015) – Three Fresno State plant science students took home three honors at the American Society of Agronomy Conference California Chapter held in Fresno on Wednesday-Thursday, Feb. 4-5.
In poster contests, Fresno State plant science senior Mala To placed first among undergraduate student entries, and plant science graduate student Sangeeta Bansal and viticulture student Andrew Beebe placed first and second place among graduate students, respectively.
The competition was held at the association’s 43rd annual conference and attended by growers, consultants, suppliers, educators, and governmental organizations.
The conference included technical sessions on a wide range of topics including: nutrient management in annual and perennial crops, salinity management in crop production, water and drought management, pest management, waste water and manure management issues, soil quality and the effect of agricultural practices
