AgTech Day 2025: Event Photo Recap
AgTech Day 2025 brought together researchers, industry partners, technology providers,
and innovators for a full day dedicated to the future of agricultural technology.
Hosted at the Center for Irrigation Technology (CIT) and the Water, Energy and Technology
(WET) Center at Fresno State, the event highlighted how applied research, field validation,
and industry collaboration continue to drive solutions for a more efficient and sustainable
agricultural sector.
Throughout the day, attendees engaged with a wide range of exhibitors and demonstrations
showcasing cutting-edge tools, technologies, and practices shaping modern agriculture.
From irrigation and water management solutions to data-driven technologies and equipment
innovations, AgTech Day offered hands-on opportunities to explore how technology is
being applied in the field today.
Engaging Demonstrations and Exhibits
Demonstrations took place across three dedicated field sites, each focused on a specific
area of applied agricultural technology. This structure allowed attendees to move
between sites, engage directly with speakers, and observe technologies operating under
real-world conditions.
- SGMA Demonstration Site
The SGMA site focused on groundwater sustainability, water management, and regulatory considerations. The educational presentation was led by Sarge Green, who provided practical context on SGMA implementation and its implications for growers and water managers. Hot Spot Ag, the site sponsor, supported demonstrations and discussions highlighting tools and approaches that help inform compliance, planning, and decision-making. - Pivot Demonstration Site
The Pivot site featured irrigation technology and system performance in an operational setting. Tobias Oaker served as the educational speaker, guiding attendees through key considerations related to pivot irrigation efficiency, management, and application. Demonstrations at this site were sponsored by Valley Irrigation, showcasing pivot systems and innovations designed to improve water use efficiency and on-farm performance. - Spray Drones Demonstration Site
The Spray Drones site highlighted the growing role of unmanned aerial systems in agricultural applications. Nino Carvallho, from NC Ag Spraying, served as both the educational speaker and site sponsor, sharing insights on drone-based spraying, operational requirements, and practical use cases. Live demonstrations emphasized how spray drones are being integrated into modern farm operations in a variety of
applications.
Across all three sites, exhibitors and sponsors engaged directly with attendees, answering questions and demonstrating how their technologies perform in the field. This hands-on, multi-site format created focused discussions while allowing participants to explore a wide range of solutions throughout the day.
Behind the Scenes and Community Effort
AgTech Day is a true team effort. From early-morning setup to the final breakdown,
CIT and WET Center staff, partners, and volunteers collaborated to ensure a smooth
and welcoming event. Their dedication helped create an environment in which networking,
knowledge sharing, and collaboration could thrive.
