Area of Emphasis: Agriculture Mechanics
Spring 2026 Final Student Teaching Placement: Sierra Tollhouse High School
Tarren Hyde spent much of his life unsure of his career path but knew he wanted to pursue a future in agriculture. It was not until his final semester at Modesto Junior College that he was introduced to the field of teaching, which quickly became his passion. He is currently enrolled in a student teaching program, having completed his initial student teaching experience at Lemoore High School and now finishing his final placement at Sierra Tollhouse High School.
During his time at Lemoore High School, Tarren taught Agricultural Chemistry and Introduction to Agricultural Mechanics. He experienced notable success in the classroom and beyond, assisting in coaching a Cotton Judging team that earned 5th place in the plants category at the Fresno State Finals. He also coached a California Water team that placed 2nd at the El Diamante sectional competition.
Tarren specializes in Agricultural Mechanics and has experience teaching across multiple agricultural pathways. His background includes hands-on work as a ranch hand at Modesto Junior College, where he gained extensive experience in equipment operation, orchard and vineyard management, and working with animal units including beef, dairy, swine, sheep, and poultry. Additionally, his experience working at a sawmill has further strengthened his practical skill set. Tarren brings these real-world experiences into the classroom, using them to enhance instruction and provide meaningful, practical applications for his students.
