Stacy VanScoy’s passion for teaching stems from love of learning and experiences as an FFA member. These experiences ignited her love for teaching and inspired her to pursue a career where she could combine her passion for education and the importance of the agriculture industry by pouring into the lives of others.
In 2023, Stacy graduated from Fresno State with a B.S. in Agricultural Education. During her undergraduate years, she played an active role on campus by serving as an Ag Ambassador, organizing events as part of the FFA Field Day committee, and leading Kids’ Agriculture Camps over the summers. Currently, she is enrolled in Fresno State’s master’s program, where she is working to develop a curriculum and planning guide for institutions interested in hosting their own Kids’ Agriculture Camp.
In fall 2024, Stacy began her student teaching journey at Madera South High School, focusing on creating engaging and impactful classroom experiences. She will complete her student teaching at Highland High School, further expanding her hands-on teaching expertise.
As an FFA alumni, Stacy has earned her American FFA Degree and continues to carry forward the values and skills she gained from her FFA experiences. She is passionate about providing her students with similar opportunities and encouraging them to explore how agriculture can impact their lives.
Outside of teaching, Stacy enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, listening to Taylor Swift, and trying new things.
