Numerous things guided my decision to become an ag teacher. Though the one that pushed
me the most was the fact that I had such impactful teachers as a high schooler. The
way I saw them do their all for each and every one of the kids in their classes really
moved me. They formed me into the man I am today through so many different ways, whether
this was in an extracurricular judging team or simply just a random Tuesday.
I completed my undergraduate degree at California State University Fresno by receiving
my degree in Agricultural Education. My time spent at Fresno State and the classes
I took only furthered my urge to be an Ag teacher. The schools I completed my student
teaching at were Tulare HS Farm and El Diamante where I executed teaching in the courses
of Ag Mechanics and Ag Sciences. FFA played a major role in my career development
as the organization taught me various skills I will use for a lifetime. A certain
specialization I have within agricultural education is the study of Agricultural Mechanics.
After completing my student teaching I would love to be lucky enough to find a job
in the agricultural education field god willing. I plan to make a positive impact
on the field of agricultural education by showing the next generations how beneficial
agriculture is to our country and our world through different synchronized classes
and supporting various judging teams. My hobbies outside of student teaching, include
reading books and enjoying time with family and friends. I have various small connections
to the agriculture industry through past family endeavors within the field, all of
which only strengthened my passion for entering the fields of agricultural education.
