Student Teacher
Area of Emphasis: Animal Science
Fall 2024 Initial Student Teaching Placement: Selma High School
Spring 2025 Final Student Teaching Placement: Mendota High School
Pamella grew up deeply rooted in the agricultural industry, with deep family ties
to farming. Her passion for agricultural education was inspired by her aunt, whose
enthusiasm for teaching agriculture and providing a positive impact on students left
a lasting impression on Pamella.
She began her educational journey at Reedley College, earning an Associate in Science
for Transfer in Agriculture Animal Science and G.E. Breadth Certificate in May 2021.
She then transferred to Fresno State, where she graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelor
of Science in Agricultural Education Teacher Preparation, emphasizing Animal Science.
Pamella’s teaching experience includes initial student teaching at Selma High School,
where she taught Sustainable Agricultural Biology and Introduction to Agriculture
Science. During her time student teaching, Pamella has coached Opening and Closing,
and Best Informed Greenhand teams. She also assisted with the Livestock Show team
at the Big Fresno Fair. Currently, Pamella is completing her final student teaching
at Mendota High School, teaching Anatomy and Physiology of Animals and Plants, Agricultural
Chemistry, and Basic Fabrication and Construction. She is looking forward to assisting
with CDE, LDE teams, SAE projects and chapter events throughout the semester.
Pamella came from the Immanuel FFA chapter and is proud to be a founding member of
the chapter. She was able to be a part of starting a new chapter and take on responsibilities
of promoting the FFA chapter to grow involvement in the school. Although Pamella knew
that she wanted to be an ag teacher from a young age, assisting with some of the behind
the scenes work of the chapter grew her passion. She aspires to become an impactful
agricultural teacher, fostering student growth and enthusiasm for agriculture. Helping
students find what they are most passionate about whether it is in the agricultural
industry or another field.
