The Ag industry is such a massive industry that even I didn't know about until i started taking ag classes. Students deserve to know the different avenues there are in the Ag industry and that they are all available to them no matter the interests such as a computer science major can easily have a position for them in something robotics related in the industry. I finished my undergraduate degree at Fresno State and some of the more influential classes I took were the Animal Science classes and seeing all of the hands on projects and lesson they have with us the students. I finished my Initial student teaching at Tulare FFA under the mentorship of Mr. Castle. I took over a Ag mechanics 1 class and a Animal Science 1 class. Being there was such a great opportunity they all helped me improve and grow as a teacher. I didn't have much FFA involvement in the Judging team side but I went to Mr. Castles Cotton judging team and saw how to coach a team and how fun they can have  win or lose. Through my experience of initial student teaching I have grown more patient and understanding during my time and to really look at my lessons and tailor them to my class that way it best fits them. My future goals is to improve in the classroom to the best of my ability before I really start focusing on my judging teams that way I can be the best teacher I can be and then the best coach. I also want to work towards my masters after i get more teaching hours under my belt. My hobbies outside of teaching is traveling, hanging out with my mini dachshund and playing video games. My biggest connection to agriculture is through my families business we own a landscaping business so we are constantly living in the industry.
