Kara Ramos was inspired to pursue a career in agricultural education by her passion for agriculture and desire to make a lasting impact on the next generation. Growing up she was surrounded by a influence of farming through working on her families vineyard, where she developed a strong appreciation for the industry. 

Kara completed her undergraduate degree in Agriculture Education at California State University, Fresno. During her academic journey, she gained valuable skills and knowledge that prepared her to teach and inspire students. Kara Ramos’s student teaching placements have provided her with invaluable teaching experiences. She began her journey at Sanger High School and is currently completing her final student teaching placement at Clovis East High School. During these placements, she has taught courses such as Agriculture Biology, ROP Construction, Food Science, Agriculture Exploration, and Floral Design. 

She has also coached teams for Opening and Closing Ceremonies and Veterinary Science, as well as supervising sheep projects. Her dedication to student success and leadership development is evident in her contributions to these programs. She specializes in animal science and enjoys sharing her knowledge with students. She focuses on making learning hands-on and practical, helping students connect what they learn to real-life situations to give students the skills they need to succeed.

Kara’s ultimate goal is to inspire her students to engage with agriculture and leave a positive impact on their communities through education and leadership. Her personal experiences and agricultural background inspire her teaching and her commitment to education. Outside of teaching, Kara enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on adventures in their UTVs in the California desert and coastline.
