Fall 2024 Initial Student Teaching Placement: Madera Liberty High School
Spring 2025 Final Student Teaching Placement: El Capitan High school
My passion for agriculture began in high school, as I had many agriculture teachers
who positively impacted my life. Just as my ag teachers impacted me, I also want to
provide the same opportunities for my future students and help them build confidence
and succeed in their future endeavors. I completed my undergraduate degree in agricultural
education—teacher preparation at Fresno State and will earn my master's degree in
Agricultural Science this spring.
Throughout my student teaching experience, I taught courses such as ag biology, ag
chemistry, ag mechanics I and II, vet science, and floral. My specialization is animal
science, in which I integrate NGSS standards and phenomenon-based instruction into
my curriculum. However, I am very flexible and enthusiastic about being in the classroom,
regardless of what I teach. I have a variety of FFA experiences, from parliamentary
procedure to managing student SAE projects.
After my final student teaching, I plan to become an agriculture teacher and serve
at a school in the Central Valley. I plan to positively impact the field of agriculture
by collaborating with teachers and integrating agriscience phenomenon-based instruction
in our agricultural science courses. When I am not busy, I spend a lot of time on
my fiancé's ranch and work closely with the Madera County cattlewomen to promote the
beef industry. I look forward to leaving a mark on my students' lives and enhancing
my skills as an agriculture educator.
