Fall 2024 Initial Student Teaching Placement: Lemoore High School
Spring 2025 Final Student Teaching Placement: Kingsburg High School
I was inspired to pursue a career in agricultural education by the opportunities in
agriculture I had during my career in college. I completed my undergraduate degree
at Fresno State with an emphasis in Ag Mechanics. My strong passion for Agriculture,
my FFA career, and especially my Agricultural classes at Fresno State like AGED-189
have influenced my passion to pursue a career in Agricultural Education.
I completed my initial student teaching at Lemoore High School, where I taught Introduction
to Ag Mechanics, Intermediate Welding, and a Cells unit in Agricultural Biology. I
can say with confidence my skills as an educator, and as an advisor have grown tremendously
since my first day as a student teacher, and I feel very confident going into my final
semester. FFA played a huge role in my passion for my future career; after serving
as Chapter Vice President of my FFA chapter for 2 years, showing Dairy all 4 years,
and being on the Farm Power Judging team for all 4 years, being involved around the
department and in FFA gave me the hands on experience I’ve always wanted, and tremendously
prepared me for my career in college.
I plan to apply to become an Agricultural Mechanics teacher at the high school level
when I am completed with my final student teaching. I specialize in agricultural mechanics
and have a strong passion and knowledge in the field as I continue to develop as a
teacher. I strive to give all my students opportunities to excel in ag mechanics while
fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. I grew up on a Dairy, where
I learned from a young age the importance of Agriculture, and I plan to deliver my
passion of Agriculture through my interactions as a future teacher.
