A graduate from California State University, Fresno, Irelinn Dalton had the unique opportunity to study agriculture in the heart of the Central Valley, one of the world’s most productive agricultural regions. Growing up in Nipomo, California, sparked her deep-rooted passion for agriculture, which has shaped both her personal and professional life.

Her journey began with involvement in 4-H, eventually leading her to participate actively in her high school’s agricultural FFA program. There, she immersed herself in various classes, CDE teams, and SAE projects, all of which helped solidify her love for the agriculture industry. Inspired by these experiences, she decided to pursue a degree in agriculture education, with the hope of inspiring future generations to share her passion for the field.

During her student teaching, she taught a variety of classes at Madera South High School and Sierra High School, including Agriculture Biology, Agriculture Chemistry, and Intro to Agri-Science for both 7th and 9th-grade students. Her hands-on approach to teaching aimed to make lessons engaging and encourage student participation. In her final semester of student teaching, she co-led the Swine team, mentoring students weekly on showmanship skills and agricultural knowledge. Her goal as an agriculture educator is to motivate students to explore the many opportunities within the industry, fostering their own passion for agriculture. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time outdoors and with friends and family, balancing her love for nature with her professional ambitions.
