Harrison McAuliffe’s passion for agriculture stems from his high school experiences
as an agriculture student. His agriculture teachers, Craig Davidson and Lindsay Devaurs,
left a lasting impact on him. Harrison’s goal as an agriculture educator is to provide
his students with educational experiences that will positively impact their lives,
just as his agriculture teachers did for him.
Harrison began his post-secondary education at Bakersfield College, where he earned
an Associate’s degree in Animal Science. From there, he transferred to California
State University, Fresno and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education.
While at university, Harrison was an active member of Alpha Zeta California Epsilon
and enjoyed his time serving as its chancellor.
In Spring of 2025, Harrison began his student teaching experience at North High School
in Bakersfield. While he was there, he taught Introduction to Agriculture and Agriculture
Sales & Marketing classes. Harrison will complete his student teaching experience
at Independence High School in Bakersfield, where he will begin teaching Introduction
to Agriculture and Agriculture Biology classes.
Harrison has been actively involved with FFA since high school. As a student, Harrison
valued the professional and leadership opportunities FFA had to offer. During college,
Harrison spent time coaching students with rabbit and sheep S.A.E. projects throughout
Kern County. He also spent time working as a facilitator for Greenland Leadership
Conference and as state staff for State FFA Convention.
After the completion of the credential program at CSU, Fresno, Harrison will be on
the job hunt looking for a high school agriculture position.
Outside of teaching, Harrison enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling
(especially to Scotland), playing video games, and listening to T-Swizzle.
