Student Teacher
Area of Emphasis: Animal Science
Spring 2026 Final Student Teaching Placement: Lemoore High School
Daniela was inspired by her high school agriculture teachers to pursue a career in Agricultural Education. After taking her first agriculture class, she was encouraged to participate in Opening and Closing ceremonies, which led her to raising market lambs for the summer fair. From that point on, she was hooked.
Daniela earned her degree from Fresno State in 2025 with an emphasis in Animal Science. Upon graduation, she completed her initial student teaching at Riverdale High School, where she taught Introduction to Agriculture and Agricultural Biology. She then went on to complete her final student teaching at Lemoore High School. While at Lemoore, Daniela taught Agricultural Biology, Agricultural Leadership, Floral Arts, Agricultural Mechanics, and AFNR. She also coached the Best Informed Greenhand team and co-advised market lamb SAE projects.
Throughout her student teaching experience, Daniela’s biggest struggle was adopting science curriculum and developing lessons that meaningfully connected to agriculture. This challenge pushed her to grow as an educator by becoming more intentional in lesson planning, seeking feedback from mentors, and developing activities that made learning more interactive and applicable.
Outside of school, Daniela enjoys spending time outdoors. Her hobbies include hiking, working out, and painting.
