Brittany Dempsey was inspired to pursue a career in agricultural education by her passion for agriculture and a desire to help her community. Growing up in 4-H, has fostered her passion for agriculture and showed the lasting impact agriculture can have on her community. While in high school, Brittany’s time in FFA and agriculture teachers left a lasting impact on her life that has contributed to her pursuing agricultural education.

Brittany completed her undergraduate degree in Agricultural Education, with an emphasis in Animal Science, at Fresno State. Brittany focuses on teaching students practical knowledge through real-world, hands-on experiences that allow students to truly learn and be able to become productive individuals within their communities.

Brittany initial student taught at Golden West High School and is currently completing her final student teaching at Tulare High School. Through student teaching, Brittany has gained invaluable experience teaching students and making lasting connections with her mentor teachers. She has taught courses such as Agricultural Biology, Agriculture Science, Animal Science, and Veterinary Science. During her time at these placements, Brittany has also helped assist with Job Interview and Prepared Public Speaking, as well as help coach the sheep and goat teams.
 
Brittany’s goal is to support and inspire students to get involved with agriculture and their communities. She plans to help students pursue their interests through leadership opportunities and CDEs. Outside of teaching, Brittany enjoys spending time with family and assisting in caring for her family’s small herd of sheep with her daughter. She also enjoys volunteering as a 4-H leader for different livestock projects.
