Fall 2025 Initial Student Teaching Placement: Madera South High School

Spring 2026 Final Student Teaching Placement: Tulare High School

Hello, I am Braden Fowler. I am an aspiring Ag Mechanics Teacher. My education post high school was interesting with my undergraduate degree in social and behavioral science, and my bachelor's degree in Agriculture Education Teacher Prep. When I got to Fresno State, I was new to the Ag Education degree because I had just switched majors, but I quickly found myself in or around the shop for extended periods of time. When it comes to my teaching experience, I initially student taught at Madera South High School under Tim Deniz. At Madera South, I taught Ag Mechanics 1 and ROP Welding. I will be completing my final student teaching at Tulare FFA. FFA played a huge role in my passion for agriculture through building multiple ag mechanics projects and competing on numerous teams, such as parli pro, livestock judging, and horse judging. I specialize in agricultural mechanics, with experience in welding, fabrication, and electrical. Through student teaching, I have developed skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and leading hands-on instruction in a shop environment. After completing my final student teaching, my goal is to become a high school agriculture mechanics teacher who breeds excellence into my students. Outside of teaching, I enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing, and just being outside. While my childhood involvement was limited mainly to riding horses as a young kid, I am building connections through student teaching and building connections by engaging with the local ag community.
