Fall 2025 Initial Student Teaching Placement: Clovis East High School

Brianna Brazil was inspired to pursue a career in agricultural education through both her personal background and her experiences as a student. She grew up on her family’s dairy in Northern California, where agriculture was a daily part of her life. During high school, she was heavily involved in Ferndale FFA and competed in Parliamentary Procedure, Dairy Cattle Judging, Impromptu Public Speaking, and Prepared Public Speaking. Her agriculture teachers continue to serve as mentors and played a key role in sparking her interest in becoming an agricultural educator. This passion was further developed during her time at Fresno State, where she studied animal science. Currently, Brianna is pursuing a Master of Science in Agricultural Science along with her teaching credential, with plans to graduate in May 2026.

Brianna completed her initial student teaching placement at Clovis East High School, where she taught Floral and Art History, Food Science, and Agricultural Chemistry. During this experience, she also assisted with the swine team in preparation for the Big Fresno Fair, gaining valuable experience supporting students in both classroom instruction and FFA activities. Her final student teaching placement is at Minarets High School, where she will teach a variety of courses, including Ag Biology, AFNR, Advanced Floral, and Ag Mechanics. She will also assist with CDE teams, including floral, and various SAE projects.

Upon completion of both her master’s degree and teaching credential, Brianna hopes to remain in the Central Valley teaching agriculture at the high school or middle school level. Her goal is to help students discover their passion for agriculture while building confidence in themselves and their abilities. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time at home baking and experimenting with new gluten-free recipes, as well as assisting with youth and recreational league basketball.
