Spring 2026 Final Student Teaching Placement: Central Valley High School
Asia Nunez grew up on her family's farm in Stanislaus County. She was surrounded by agriculture her whole life, which led her to join FFA. During her time in FFA, she was an active member, involved in activities ranging from dairy product judging to opening and closing competitions and attending National Convention. There, she built a strong rapport with her advisors, who inspired her to become a teacher.
Asia graduated from Fresno State University, majoring in agriculture education with a specialization in animal science. During her time at Fresno State, she was able to take a variety of courses ranging from meat science to agricultural welding.
During her initial student teaching placement, she was at Pacheco High School in Los Banos. There, she grew and taught Animal Science and Introduction to Woodshop. She built a strong rapport with her students, both in her classroom and in FFA.
For her final student teaching, she is at Central Valley in Ceres. Throughout the semester, she will teach Sustainable Agriculture Biology, Introduction to Agriculture, and Intermediate Ag Mechanics. She co-coaches the Best Informed Green Hand team. She plans to gain a lot of experience and growth while at Central Valley.
Her goal for her classroom and career in agriculture is to ensure her students have an engaging and impactful learning experience. She is excited to see what her future in education has to offer.
