Spring 2026 Final Student Teaching Placement:
My interest began with my hard-working agriculture teachers and was furthered during my time at Modesto Junior College giving tours and demonstrations. My initial student teaching opportunity is where I felt that agriculture education would be the most fulfilling career for myself. I began my undergraduate program at Modesto Junior College with Associates degrees in Dairy Science and Agricultural Sciences before transferring to Fresno where I received my Bachelor’s in Agricultural Education. At MJC, I had the opportunity to work as an intern in the dairy unit. At Fresno State, I worked at the Gibson Farm Market. I look back on my educational background with so much gratitude. I completed my initial student teaching with Agriculture Biology and Introduction to Agriculture courses at Porterville High School. I am grateful to my students and mentor teachers who gave me grace as a first time teacher. During my initial student teaching experience I had the pleasure of coaching an Agriculture Banking team as well as co-coaching the Best Informed Greenhand team. I learned a lot about the commitment I owe to the students as apart of a team. My personal and educational background is within Animal Science. I have developed skills for building rapport with students and administration. My goal is to find a multiple-person department that I can stay at within the Central or San Joaquin Region. I plan to help students gain valuable life skills and content knowledge in the classroom. Some of my hobbies include reading books, paddle boarding, and hiking.
