Biography: Michelle L. Ganci of Clovis is owner and operator of California Poultry Consultants,
who consult in all aspects of poultry production and operation throughout California.
Ganci chairs the National Affairs and Research Division, Animal Health and Welfare
Advisory Committee for the California Farm Bureau Federation, as well as serving on
the Executive Committee and as Poultry Chair for the Fresno County Farm Bureau.
Ganci is past president of the Agricultural Advisory Committee and Agricultural Backers
Council for Reedley College and enjoys agricultural scholarship fund-raising and working
with student interns in that capacity. She is a professional livestock and meats judge
and travels throughout the western U.S. judging 4-H, FFA, and “open” livestock events
each year.
Ganci is a proud member of the Assistance League of Fresno where she is chair of “Operation
School Bell,” a project which clothes needy children in Fresno County schools. She
also is a member of the Clovis Rodeo Association.
Ganci has a Master’s of Science degree in general agriculture with an emphasis in
agricultural education from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo,
and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in animal science with an emphasis in meat technology
from California State University, Fresno.
