Effect of elevated carbon dioxide during the establishment phase of giant reed (Arundo donax)
A two-year (2011/2012) was conducted in open top chambers to study the effect of elevated carbon dioxide during the establishment phase of an invasive weed, giant reed (Arundo donax). The study was undertaken by Provost's Undergraduate Research Award recipient Katrina Steinhauer. Plant Science Department faculty Dr. Dave Goorahoo and Dr. Florence Cassels-Sharma are gratefully acknowledged for allowing the student to incorporate her study in their ongoing bigger study on carbon dioxide and irrigation effects.
