Introduction

Weed science is a course taught in the Department of Plant Science. An undergraduate course (PLANT 160 Weed Science) is offered every semester. Undergraduate students also have the opportunity to work on independent research studies (Plant 180) on many aspects of weed science.  Opportunities are available for graduate students to work on their MS thesis research projects in weed science. Many career opportunities are available with the private and public sector in weed science.

Past graduate students in weed science have gone on to complete their PhD programs at other institutions and are now employed as faculty in prestigious schools while others with an MS degree have successful careers in various academic, government, and industry positions.
