Weed Science

Optimizing efficiencies, economics, and weed management under solid-set subsurface drip and overhead mechanized irrigation systems with flat planted cropping systems

A two-year study was conducted at the University of California, West Side Research and Extension Center, Five Points, CA in collaboration with UC Davis Cropping System Specialist Dr. Jeff Mitchell. The study was a part of former Fresno State graduate student Joy Hollingswoth's MS thesis. The study compared no-till flat-planted cotton irrigated with an overhead linear-move irrigation system versus sub-surface drip irrigation.
