Arianna Koster Memorial Livestock Judging Scholarship
On October 2, 2018, the Jordan College and Fresno State family lost a young alumna,
Arianna Marie Koster, who passed unexpectedly. She was a former member of the Fresno
State Livestock Judging Team and devoted student. Her accolades, achievements and
service to others were vast and immeasurable. She was following in her father's footsteps
as an active member in the community. She was a member of the San Joaquin County Farm
Bureau, as well as the New Jerusalem 4-H Sheep and Goat Leader. She was very devoted
to the 4-H club where she was able to share her knowledge and love for raising and
showing livestock. Arianna passed down her competitive spirit with kindness, teaching
the younger members of the club by example what it means to be a graceful competitor.
Arianna was also like her father in the way she comprehended being a good steward
of the family's generational Koster Ranch. She understood and was deeply passionate
about the farming way of life. That pride and devotion ran through her veins. Arianna's
spirit will always be a part of that land that she so deeply loved, which helped mold
her into the woman she became. She truly is the "Farmer's Daughter!"
The students of the Jordan College are establishing a scholarship to honor Arianna's memory and, along with her family, request that remembrances be sent to the Ag One Foundation for support of students who have been or would like to be a part of the Fresno State Livestock Judging Team.
