Fantasy Vacation Thank You

The Fantasy Vacation raffle is an important part of Ag One's efforts to provide financial support to deserving students, as well as supporting the many programs in the Jordan College. Thank you to everyone who supported through sponsorships, donation and raffle ticket purchases.

Every year the drawing for the winner of Fantasy Vacation happens at the Ag Boosters BBQ. This year's Fantasy Vacation winner is Mr. Brian Bone of Bakersfield, CA. 

Below is a description of 2016's Fantasy Vacation opportunities:

Azores Islands – For all the Portuguese friends in our great Ag community! Explore the beauty of magnificent Azores – an outline of garden-like islands on the horizons of the Atlantic Ocean. You will be impressed by the sapphire blue and emerald green lakes, fertile prairies, colorful hydrangeas and azaleas, 15th century churches and majestic manor houses. These poetically-named islands enjoy year-round mild temperatures. Spend 7 nights on two islands - San Miguel and Terceira - or tailor your trip to the islands of your choice.

 

 

Canyon Country Adventure – This 8-day tour covers the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion. See and experience the colors, sights and sounds of this great nation. Beginning in Scottsdale, travel through cactus-studded scenery for a break in Sedona, “Arizona’s Scenic Sensation”. After a visit to the Grand Canyon, enjoy a four-wheel drive tour of Monument Valley followed by an afternoon cruise on Lake Powell. Depart from the splendid views of Lake Powell for Utah’s Bryce Canyon National Park and a stop at Zion National Park. End the trip with a resort stay on the Las Vegas strip.

 

 

Costa Rica –This 7-day adventure will cover the highlights of this beautiful country from rainforests to volcanos to coffee plantations. Travel to Poas Volcano for an up-close view of the enormous crater and its deep green lake. After a visit to Arenal National Park, venture into the jungle canopy on the Arenal Hanging Bridges followed by a stop at Tabacon Hot Springs. Enjoy a Tropical Mangrove Cruise down the Tarcoles River For the last stop, visit the stunning white sand beaches and evergreen tropical forests at Manuel Antonio National Park.

 

 

Dalmatian Elegance, Croatia – Experience 7 days of breathtaking Croatian coastlines and magnificent islands while cruising the waters of the Adriatic in comfort and style. Enjoy a stroll through the ancient walkways of Diocletian’s Palace, which now forms the historic center of Split. Make a stop in Korcula which is claimed to be the birth place of celebrated globetrotter Marco Polo. Take the cable car to Srd Mountain for scenic views over the famous fortifications and Elaphiti Islands. Cross over to Hvar – the island of sunshine, lavender, sage and wine. End the trip with a visit to Bol, the oldest town on the island of Brac and one of Croatia’s most famous seaside destinations.

 

Focus on Ireland – Explore 8 days of travel through southern Ireland. A jaunting car ride in Killarney, the brilliant green countryside, dramatic coastal scenery of the Wild Atlantic Way and the “lilt” of the Irish voices all make for an exceptional tour. Begin your journey in Dublin, the land of legends, misty mountains, lovely lakes and a warm, friendly greeting. Travel along the River Liffey to see the Guinness Brewery and Dublin Castle. Set off through the delightful landscapes of the Emerald Isle and journey through the rugged Derrynasaggart Mountains to visit the 15th Century Blarney Castle. After a stop at the Waterford Crystal Factory, return to Dublin.
