Ag One and the Fresno State Alumni Association hosted its annual North Bay Alumni & Friends wine tasting and dinner on July 15 in Forrestville, CA. The event was in collaboration with Santa Rosa Junior College, where guests enjoyed farm products and wine from the colleges and stunning views from Shone Farm.
Fresno State graduate, John O'Rourke and his son Timothy won the university’s first-ever hot dog eating contest on July 11 at its annual farm festival hosted by the Jordan College at the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market. more
Recent graduate returns home to Nepal to begin rebuilding her country. Rama Paudel, a scholarship recipient of the John and Cora Harvey Graduate Fellowship, shares her poignant story as a Fresno State international student and a rebuilder of Nepal. Her efforts have included research, medical relief, teaching children and engaging with community leaders. more
The Jordan College hosted alumni and friends on June 24 at the annual California Ag Teachers Association annual conference in San Luis Obispo where interim dean Sandra Witte updated our alumni on the exciting things going on at Fresno State and in our college. Dr. Rosco Vaughn introduced our newest Ag Ed teachers and where they will be teaching our future leaders in agriculture. more
Longtime Ag One and Jordan College supporter, Rodger Jensen met with the scholarship selection committee recently to learn about deserving students eligible for the Ag One - Rodger B. Jensen Scholarship. Interim dean Sandra Witte presented Rodger with a crystal obelisk in recognition by Fresno State's Pinnacle Society, honoring him for his years of generosity. Recent plant science graduate, Armando Guzman thanked Rodger (via video) for making a difference in his life.
Ag Business student, Heather Dodson was recognized as the first recipient of the newly created Ag One - Dr. John W. Hagen scholarship -- a tribute to Hagen, who retired in 2014 after a 45-year career at Fresno State. Dr. Hagen was honored by faculty, staff, alumni and industry professionals at a banquet April 30th celebrating his contributions to Fresno State and its students. more

New farm manager, David Sieperda from Corvallis, Oregon is set to join the college in August.
Students Sarah Parry, Julie Pedraza and Elizabeth Mosqueda received honors for research and academic excellence in the plant science field.
