2025 Fresno State & Friends Private Treaty Bull Sale

Introduction

Thank you for visiting the 2025 Fresno State and Friends Bull Sale. We are very proud of the set of bulls we have in this year’s sale. We think this set of bulls is very deep in quality, with a lot of genetic diversity and opportunity to fit many different breeding scenarios. We are even more proud of the work our student’s have done over the past year in developing these bulls. This is a student driven unit, but an operation that would not function without the participation of our cooperator herds. We appreciate their trust in Fresno State, and our program, to develop their great seedstock.

Finally, we would like to express our thanks to all those who have bought and placed bids on bulls in the past - we appreciate your confidence in our program and your business.

Bull Sale Terms and Conditions

The sale will be conducted from August 16th until August 30th, 2025.

If you are interested in a bull, call Ryan Person at 559.326.8354 and leave the bull number and the amount that you would like to bid. Once a bull has received a bid, the heading of Price will be changed to the Last Bid. The Last Bid for each bull will be updated daily (5pm). If you are accessing the website using an iPhone, the prices will be correct, but the heading of price or last bid may or may not be formatted correctly depending on the device.

Bidding will close at 12:00pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025. For bulls in which multiple bids are received on or before Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at 12:00pm, they will be bid off starting on that Saturday afternoon, August 30th. Bidders will be contacted by phone and will stay involved in the bid off until they refuse to raise the last bid. The minimum amount for a bid increase is $250.00. In order for buyers to be eligible to participate in the bid off on a particular bull, they must have placed a bid on that bull prior to Saturday, August 30th at 12:00 pm, or be out bid on a higher priced bull and allowed to move their bid onto a lot that has not been closed out yet. Bid off will continue until all lots have been closed or no more bids remain.

Bulls are available for live viewing at the Fresno State Beef Unit. Please contact Ryan Person at 559.326.8354 or David Leon 805.806.1083 if you would like to come view the bulls or have any questions. We will have bull data, information and pen locations available in our herdsman’s office at the Beef Unit.

EPD's and Pedigrees are listed below, with each bull. Their registration number is listed next to the heading for each bull. The registration number can be used to search the Angus database to find additional pedigree or performance information and the most current EPD's on a particular bull. EPD's are as of 8/1/2024.

After all bids have been closed out, any bulls not sold will be available at the listed price on a first come-first served basis. Call Ryan for more details.

All bulls must be picked up or delivered by November 1, 2025. A discount of $200.00 per bull is available if bulls are picked up/delivered prior to September 15, 2025. We will do our best to deliver the bulls at no charge, within reason. Ask Ryan about delivery options.

Bulls have undergone a complete health and vaccination program, and they will have been semen tested.

Bulls identified with an asterisk next to their herd number have been raised in cooperator herds: List of Cooperators: GCC - Gudel Cattle Company, Wilton; PCC – Person Cattle Co, Clovis; PON - Poncetta Farms, Bakersfield; SMA – Steven Medeiros Angus Farm, Madera.

These bulls have been developed, since weaning, at Fresno State on the same program as the Fresno State bulls.

Note - Bull FSU 415 was turned out with our heifers this year as a clean-up bull. He has since passed a full breeding soundness exam and trich test. His picture was taken while in his working clothes.
