About the Olam Sensory Laboratory
Scientists in the Jordan Agricultural Research Center conduct research in the Olam sensory lab to learn more about agricultural practices and post-harvest processing as perceived by consumers. Food and beverage products tested so far include wine, fresh fruit grown on the campus farm, dessert products in development by students for commercial purposes and targeted consumer products developed by faculty. The sensory lab aids researchers in gathering data for their trials and provides students with the hands on experience they need in preparation to work in the industry.
