Dr. Paulina Freire is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Food Science
and Nutrition at Fresno State, working on dairy products, focusing on machine learning,
sensory analysis, and rapid detection methods. Currently, she is applying spectroscopy,
sensors, high-pressure processing (HPP), and ultrafiltration to develop innovative
production in the dairy industry.
Dr. Freire's academic journey is marked by her dedication to teaching and research
across multiple universities in Ecuador, Spain, and the United States. Her diverse
educational background enriches her research and instructional capabilities, allowing
her to mentor students with a broad perspective on global scientific trends.
In addition to her primary focus on food science, Dr. Freire possesses extensive knowledge
in life sciences, such as biotechnology, plant micropropagation, genetics, and microbiology.
