Join us in Celebrating National Agriculture Day, March 25, 2014!
Here is a list of the events taking place during the week:
Monday, March 24th 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Farm Market Open House
-Free samples and prizes at the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market
Tuesday, March 25th 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Ag Day in the Free Speech Area
JCAST students will be distributing agriculture facts in the Free Speech Area
Wednesday, March 26th 1p.m. – 2 p.m. Ice Cream with the Deans in the Ag Building Quad
Join the Deans for Fresno State ice cream
Wednesday, March 26th 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. JCAST Team Olympics
Who: Calling all JCAST Clubs, Organizations, & Faculty/Staff
What: Comprise a team of four individuals with up to two teams per club, organization, and faculty/staff department to participate in the annual JCAST Olympics
-Each team is to sign up in the Dean’s office noting their team name, team member’s names, and primary club representative email
-All are invited to come and support/cheer on their favorite team
Where: Agriculture Sciences Lawn
Why: To compete in three olympic games including an obstacle course “Down on Farm”, Hay Stacking, and Egg on a Spoon Race
-Prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd High Team
Friday, March 28th at 2 p.m. JCAST Speaker Mario Santoyo
-Library Room 2206
-Mario Santoyo is an esteemed member of the California Latino Water Coalition and the General Manager of the Friant Water Authority. He has 30 years of experience working in the water field and has recently joined President Castro's Commission for the Future of Agriculture.
*The JCAST Student Leadership Council will be selling “Keep Calm and Farm On” t-shirts in the Deans Office.
